Notice to Parents about the Boomerang Foundation's™ Privacy Policy:
The Boomerang Foundation takes extra time and makes every effort to ensure that your teen’s experience on our site is safe. As such, we adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which is a federal law passed in 2000 designed to protect young people using the Internet. We at The Boomerang Foundation encourage parents to participate with and closely monitor teen activity on the Internet. We believe that teens and parents should take every precaution when using the Internet. We recommend that you visit http://getnetwise.org and then read these the following policy agreements together before using this site:

The Boomerang Foundation does not post any personally identifiable information about our users. If a student chooses to create a Community Service Transcript that includes his or her name and address, the transcript can be kept private and encrypted as selected by the user

Users under the age of 18 are requested to obtain parent permission in order to participate,

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to register on the site and may participate only with a parent,

Participants should create a screen name for their Boomerang personal and group profiles different from their first name.

Please refrain from using any last names, city, zip code or any other personally identifying information while participating on the toolbox.

The Boomerang Foundation toolbox collects only information that is necessary. Email and street addresses, last names and any other identifying information will not be made public by the Boomerang Foundation but may be used to send updates and announcements when appropriate.

Any information collected by the Boomerang Foundation that is personally identifiable will never be posted, released, sold, or distributed by the Boomerang Foundation to any third party.

As a user of The Boomerang Foundation Toolbox™, I agree to abide by the highest standards of etiquette online. I will not post or distribute any information that is inappropriate or misleading. I understand that by joining, I am joining a community of young people and adults dedicated to making the world a better place through meaningful community service. If I see any content that is not in alignment with these values and standards, I will report it immediately to boomerangfoundation@gmail.com. I understand that the Boomerang Foundation™ has the right to remove my account and or any postings at any time.
The information contained in this website is for general information purposes only.
